You will play a critical role in supporting SAAT's engineering services by evaluating technical policies, managing aircraft systems, and ensuring compliance with CAMO standards. You'll contribute to reliability improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiency through technical analysis and stakeholder collaboration.
Principal Accountabilities
Proven ability to develop and implement technical policies that enhance performance and reduce costs
Experience managing engineering systems for aircraft structures, interiors, and systems
Strong capability in evaluating OEM data and regulatory documents to drive cost-effective strategies
Track record of approving modifications, repairs, and deviations in line with airworthiness standards
Confidence in liaising with OEMs, regulators, and internal stakeholders to resolve in-service issues
Ability to conduct detailed reliability studies and recommend program changes
Collaborative approach to facilitating communication between maintenance teams, customers, and support areas
Proactive attitude in initiating warranty claims and supporting after-hours CAMO operations
Qualifications & Experience
Grade 12 with Maths & Science - essential
Certified aviation technician (mechanical or avionic) with 5+ years' experience
N6 or higher diploma in Engineering
At least 1 year of contract management experience - Essential (Aviation industry advantageous)
Project management qualification - Advantageous
8 years + experience in aircraft maintenance
