Cam Cnc Machinist
Job Description
Job Summary
Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components
Read and interpret engineering drawings for accurate machining and assembly
Assist with CNC programming and setup to ensure efficient production runs
Assemble fan components, including bearings, shafts, couplings, and impellers
Diagnose, inspect, and repair mechanical components
Perform routine maintenance and accurately complete job cards
Support custom fabrication projects and assist with equipment modifications
Check finished parts for defects and verify measurements and tolerances
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or engineering workshop
Proficient in CNC turning and CNC programming (Fanuc or similar controls)
Experience with CAD/CAM software such as CATIA and Edgecam
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring instruments
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
