Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Buyer to procure agricultural infrastructure materials and equipment for our clients agricultural projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the agricultural industry, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of selecting high-quality suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Acts as the company's central point of contact for Agri Infrastructure related suppliers
Identifies and drives opportunities to rationalise products and reduce complexity
Participates in Category-specific product development initiatives
Establishes seasonal demand and procurement plans in conjunction with the Category team
Negotiates ad hoc purchase prices and term deals with suppliers
Resolves pricing discrepancies and claims with Agri Infrastructure suppliers
Assesses supply and quality risks and evaluates supplier capacity and capability to ensure alignment with Category strategy
Monitors and evaluates supplier performance to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Proactively identifies and communicates Category-specific supply constraints to minimize supply disruption
Qualifications:
B Degree in Procurement
2 years of related experience
Specialization in Procurement and Data Analytics would be an advantage
Proficient in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel
Demonstrated negotiation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Own transport and a valid driver's license required; willingness to travel for work purposes
Willingness to work long hours during peak periods
