Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the daily operations of the butchery section, ensuring smooth workflow and quality control. Support the Butchery Manager in supervising and training staff on cutting techniques, food safety, and customer service. Ensure all meat products are prepared, cut, packaged, and displayed to high standards. Maintain cleanliness and compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Monitor stock levels, conduct inventory checks, and assist in ordering supplies. Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional manner. Work with the manager to achieve sales targets, reduce waste, and improve efficiency. Assist in scheduling staff and managing team performance. Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report any issues promptly.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a butchery or meat department, preferably in a supervisory or assistant management role. Strong knowledge of meat products, cutting techniques, and food safety regulations. Leadership and team management experience is an advantage. Basic computer skills for inventory and sales reporting. High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in food handling or butchery are a plus.
