Job Summary
To provide business manager support to executive Head in Finance Management function fulfilling specific responsibilities; including supporting the development and implementation of business enablement planning, service delivery processes, methods and techniques; enabling the provision of well-researched information to inform organisational decision making.

To provide managerial support in the development and implementation of business enablement planning, service delivery processes, methods and techniques; enabling the provision of well-researched information to inform organisational decision making.
Accountability: Strategic partnering with Head of BUParticipation in BU leadership forums where strategic decisions are made, priorities set and issues resolved. Provide input re. org management for optimal allocation of resources, while considering scorecard metrics. Provide end to end support on restructuring and embedment of new Target Operating Models where relevant. Play an instrumental role in implementing an engagement model in BU . This will include town halls, conferences, strategy planning sessions etc. Provide support to the BU Head by acting as the main point person for overall (BU) strategy through formal and informal interactions with Heads of other business units ensuring incorporation of vision, strategic intent and objectives key performance measures. Ensure the successful end to end execution and delivery of all tactical and strategic initiatives that contributes towards the realisation of the Business Unit strategy. Influence workforce planning and provide input into headcount management.

Accountability: Enable FM Strategy alignmentCreate the necessary visibility of the Finance Management Strategy and strategic objectives. Explore opportunities for BU alignment to the FM strategy and roll this out within the BU. Liaise with the wider Business Management team to ensure alignment across Finance Management. Create awareness of initiatives that are rolled out across the FM community and encourage active participation.

Accountability: Stakeholder managementBuild constructive relationships with key role players to have a clear understanding of their business needs. Understand the impact of the changes and inform business of any risks. Provide regular and timely feedback to stakeholders. Resolve stakeholder dissatisfaction/issues.

Accountability: Operational ManagementEnsure that operational issues are resolved in a timeous and effective manner. Utilise the BM Support capability to address all operational matters and ensure that this team becomes first responders to operational queries. Continuously monitor the overall Business Performance (Finance, Risk, Compliance, Change, Human Capital) of the business unit and advise the BU Head of any possible deviations and the actions necessary to address these. Approve Business proposals by reviewing, analysing and interpreting proposals presented in line with the mandate delegated by the Head.

Accountability: ReportingPrepare the key themes, presentations and reviews for the BU Head and assist with detailed content when required. Evaluate all material and communication prior to it being reviewed by the Head ensuring that context, analysis and the views of the respective areas are collated, filtered and summarised in a concise manner. Provide relevant data to BU Head that add insights to scorecard metrics or assist in decision making. Liaise with COO Data and reporting team to obtain specific information as required by BU.

Accountability: Partnering across other areasObtain monthly cost reports from the Finance Business Partner and use this to analyse transaction data and to monitor the financial performance of the BU. Liaise with Finance Business Partners when there is a need to interlock on transfer of headcount and budget from one BU to another. Frequently engage with People partners to discuss workforce planning and possible people interventions. Actively drive workplace skills planning and obtain regular updates on Skills Development spend tracking from the COO Colleague team. Partner wit CRES in the ways of work journey and planning of optimal use of office space.

Accountability: Team collaboration and managementEncourage frequent knowledge sharing between Business Managers. Establish and maintain a succession plan for the team. Interview and recruit new members of the team when required. Create effective workforce and recruitment demand plans to ensure that current and future business requirements can be met. Ensure frequent collaboration between Business managers to ensure an aligned operational approach across the FM Functions.

Education and Experience RequiredB Degree (NQF level 7 and above) B. Degree in Business Administration or equivalent qualification 8 Years' experience in Financial Services Industry 3 Years' experience in Banking
