What will you do?
We are looking for an enthusiastic business intelligence (BI) developer to help shape the MiWay Sales reporting landscape. Focus will be on designing various analytical reports on company data and delivering them to top management and other interested parties. As a BI developer, you will be working with business users, collecting their requests, and then updating the set of existing BI reports to accommodate business needs. BI developers will be expected to establish company standards and common reporting terminology, and to help align existing and future reporting requests to such standards. You will also be interacting with data warehouse architects whenever data schemas need redesigning to accommodate new reporting requirements.

Minimum Qualification Required
Bachelor's degree/Diploma in computer science, information technology, statistics or relevant field
Minimum Experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience working within a Microsoft environment using SQL, SSIS and SSRS is needed.
Deliverables
Analysing and understanding data from multiple sources including sales, customer, accounting data sets and create integrated views that can be used to drive decision making within the Sales environment.
Working with several large and complex SQL databases
Be fully capable of developing OLAP or Tabular Model Cubes within a SQL environment. {SQL Server 2010 or higher}
Working with our clients, creating a relationship and deliver to their requirements.
Collect and maintain the set of business reporting requirements.
Implement BI reports based on the above requirements.
Analyse existing reports and optimize them for standardization across the company.
Set up and maintain BI tools, infrastructure, and integration with company data sources.
Work with data warehouse architects. Propose data schema and data flow optimization for reporting performance and enhancement as needed.
Competencies
Proven experience as a BI Developer/ BI Analyst
Insurance Industry experience is preferred (with an understanding of sales being advantageous)
Background in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modelling)
In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, PowerApps)
Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
Adept at the use of BI reporting tools such as Power BI
