Job Summary Job Opportunity: Business Development Representative (UK IT Company) Location : Remote (South Africa) - Weekly office visits required in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pietermaritzburg, Durban Our client - UK-based IT company specializing in cutting-edge solutions and services. As part of their expansion, they are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development Representative to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving new business through proactive outreach and relationship-building activities. Primary Responsibilities: As a Business Development Representative, your focus will be on driving new business opportunities and fostering meaningful connections. Your key responsibilities will include: Prospecting Strategy: Initiate and lead prospecting efforts, utilizing various platforms to identify and qualify new business opportunities. Self-Reliant Lead Generation: Take ownership of your pipeline growth by implementing effective lead generation strategies for our key products and services. Business Opportunity Identification: Identify and pursue new business avenues through methods such as cold calling, social media engagement, attending industry events, and networking. Relationship Building: Nurturing relationships with prospects to arrange virtual and in-person meetings for Business Development Managers and internal stakeholders, including Security Consultants. Collaboration and Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our company offerings to identify potential areas of collaboration with target prospects. Competitive Strategy: Monitor prospects' contract renewal dates and collaborate with Business Development Managers to devise winning strategies. Industry Awareness: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, incorporating them into your business development activities. Compliance and Quality: Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and ethical conduct in all interactions. Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing Resources to influence campaign creation, enabling impactful conversations with prospects. Performance Reporting: Take responsibility for tracking and reporting your monthly and quarterly sales and performance goals. Ideal Candidate: We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual with the following qualities: Charismatic, outgoing, and enthusiastic personality. Customer service or customer-facing experience, sales experience is a plus. Active listening skills, adept at understanding nuances in conversations. Fearless in asking challenging questions to qualify prospects effectively. Highly active in utilizing various tools, including social media outreach, cold calling, and networking. Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate CRM data. Resilient and persistent, undeterred by sales setbacks or prospect rejections. Operations and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Pipeline Responsibility: Prospect: Identify contacts for outbound outreach. Lead: Establish contact, identify collaboration potential, and initiate conversations. SQL (Sales Qualified Lead): Book meetings for Business Development Managers, fully BANT qualified.
