Business Development Representative

Job Description




Our client, a well-known financial services organization, is looking to hire a Business Development Representative to join their team based in their Gauteng office. To be considered for this role you must have at least three years of business development experience selling products or services to consumers, preferably from either the automotive or fitness industry. You must be skilled working in a client-facing environment and have the ability to position a product or service in a favorable way to make a good sale. Full training will be provided.

On offer:

  • Business Development Representative's in this role are earning a basic + commission that ranges from R20,000 to R100,000 per month. As you grow in the role and increase your client portfolio, your commission will grow and increase. There is no limit to what you can earn.
  • There is a provident fund, medical aid and a petrol card.
Key duties:
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through market research, networking, and prospecting.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new clients and to gain an understand of their needs to provide tailored solutions.
  • Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to showcase products/services and value proposition.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations, overcome objections, and closing of sales deals to meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records and reports to track progress and forecast future sales.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other teams to align sales efforts with overall company objectives.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and relay customer feedback to internal teams for product/service improvement.
  • Client Retention: Implement strategies to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Required skills and experience:
  • Matric or Senior Certificate
  • Minimum of 3 years of business development experience gained from within the Fitness or Automotive industry.
  • Other B2C sectors will be considered as long as you have been working in a self-generating sales role
  • Proven track record in attending self-generated client-facing meetings
  • Track record of achieving set sales KPIs
  • Previous experience in lead generation, client engagement, and presentation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation abilities
  • Valid driver's license and own car
