A leading company in the distribution industry is seeking a skilled and experienced Business Development Representative to join their team in Witbank. The role is field-based, covering a region in the Mpumalanga province with a focus on areas like Witbank, Middelburg, Secunda, and Ermelo. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly driven sales professional with a proven track record to build and maintain strong customer relationships, drive growth, and close deals. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales, preferably within the FMCG sector or the meat/butchery trade. Responsibilities:

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers within the designated sales territory.
• Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, conducting market research, and actively seeking out new clients.
• Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets for the territory.
• Develop a deep understanding of the company's products and services to effectively present solutions to customers.
• Complete all necessary sales reports, manage customer data, and update the company's CRM system accurately.
• Attend weekly in-office meetings, stay updated on trade information, and maintain clear and consistent communication with management and team members.
• Address and resolve any customer issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

• A proven track record in sales, with a strong preference for experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or the meat/butchery industry.
• Must have a Matric (high school) certificate. A tertiary qualification is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a results-driven mindset.
• Must be comfortable with daily travel throughout the inner parts of Mpumalanga.
