We are looking for an energetic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team, specializing in Payroll and HR Solutions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, driving revenue growth, and establishing our presence in the Payroll and HR technology market.

The Business Development Manager for Payroll and HR Solutions plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and sustainability of our business by identifying and capitalizing on emerging opportunities in the Payroll and HR Solutions market. This role requires a deep understanding of the industry, along with an entrepreneurial mindset to optimize business development strategies. Working closely with the business unit leaders, dead of sales, the centralized sales team, and other professionals within the business. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for cultivating new relationships, building strong networks with industry specialists, generating leads and clients, understanding client needs and requirements, solution presentations, proposal writing, negotiating agreements and closing deals.

Your Expertise:

  • 5+ years of strategic sales, business development, and partnerships experience in the software industry, with a specific focus on Payrolling and HR Solutions.
  • Proven track record of successfully selling software solutions to clients, including extensive experience in selling into large accounts with strong existing client relationships. This includes opportunity identification, hunting for, and closing deals across large accounts.
  • Financial proficiency, encompassing an understanding of income statements and balance sheets, along with the ability to interpret and craft financial models.
  • Technical background in selling and delivering across numerous pillars within the Talent Solutions environment.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM software and Account management systems.
  • Strong understanding of HR and payroll processes within technical, industrial, mining, construction, payroll bureaus, and outsourced services sectors.
  • Solid grasp of sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and the ability to close complex deals.
  • Exceptional coordination of multiple business units to support account growth.
  • Analytical and data-driven problem solver.
  • Availability to travel as needed (generally local and very ad hoc).
Qualifications Required:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration.
  • BCom Marketing/Sales / Relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • Financial literacy.

  • Experience partnering closely with senior level stakeholders at large enterprises/ organizations and serving as a strategic advisor in people solutions with associated revenue targets
  • Outstanding relationship building, gravitas, executive presence, and presentation skills to establish and maintain strong client rapport and ongoing relationships
  • Data driven mindset combined with strong analytical skills and strategic acumen to fully understand strategic objectives and how to achieve them.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: * Market Research and Competitor Analysis:xc3x82 Stay updated on industry trends within the technical, industrial, mining, construction, payroll bureaus, and outsourced services sectors.
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation:xc3x82 Identify and target potential clients and market segments within the specified sectors.
  • Needs Analysis Solution Design:xc3x82 Collaborate with clients to understand their unique HR and payroll needs, especially within technical, industrial, mining, construction, payroll bureaus, and outsourced services contexts.
  • Proposal Development, Deal Closure Negotiations:xc3x82 Develop and present comprehensive proposals outlining the suitability of our Payrolling and HR Solutions software.
  • Client Relationship Building ; Management:xc3x82 Cultivate strong relationships with clients, including key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Sales Marketing Strategies:xc3x82 Develop and implement sales strategies and tactical sales/marketing plans to achieve revenue growth and profitability targets.
  • Reporting:xc3x82 Maintain accurate records of sales activities and provide regular reports to management.
