Qualifications

  • Matric
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the security industry
  • Proven track record of sales success and leadership experience
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g. (link unavailable), Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA)
  • Compliance with the Private Security Industry Act (200
  • Compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (2013)
  • Compliance with the Labour Relations Act (1995)
Duties
  • Strategic Planning
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive growth and revenue in the South African fire detection and gas suppression industry.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities in the industry.
  • Set clear goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for business development in the industry.
  • Sales Performance
  • Achieve and exceed sales budget targets (Turnover & GP).
  • Conduct a minimum of 25 sales calls per week and maintain an appointment ratio of 1:10.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction with zero sales complaints.
  • Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the South African fire detection and gas suppression industry through networking, prospecting, and lead generation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and suppliers in the industry.
  • Develop and deliver persuasive sales pitches and proposals to secure new business in the industry.
  • Technical Expertise
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of fire detection and gas suppression systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments in the South African fire detection and gas suppression industry.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Innovation and Growth
  • Innovate sales strategies to promote RSM Solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion in the industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new business opportunities.
  • Compliance and Administration
  • Adhere to company policies and working hours.
  • Ensure compliance with South African regulations and standards, including SANS, NRCS, and OHS Act.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and business development initiatives.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting
  • Monitor and report on business development performance, including sales, revenue, and customer acquisition in the industry.
  • Analyze data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the industry.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to inform business development strategies in the industry.
