You will be managing Eastern Africa Business operations and strategy, including business development, service delivery, marketing, external stakeholder engagement and formulation of Digital, Retail & hybrid strategies to better serve Western Union's customers.
Role Responsibilities
Execute Western Union's business operations and strategy across Eastern Africa, including business development, service delivery, marketing, and stakeholder engagement.
Lead and coach agent network teams, including operations and compliance, to drive performance and regional strategy.
Develop and expand access to Western Union services through Retail, Digital, and Hybrid channels.
Drive growth and profitability by identifying and developing new business opportunities.
Build and manage relationships with existing and new agents to support business expansion.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet financial and operational goals.
Provide consumer insights to inform marketing and network development initiatives.
Monitor market trends and communicate insights into management for strategic adjustments.
Serve as the primary point of contact for agents, offering support and driving growth initiatives.
Engage with regulators and stay informed on developments affecting the remittance and payments industry.
Research and identify new organizations and markets for business growth.
Represent Western Union at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
Deliver regular communication, feedback, and performance reports to management.
Role Requirements
Previous experience in outside sales or servicing customer products or financial services is a plus.
Strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
Ability to present and listen to your agents and build trust and confidence with them.
Able to gain the trust and confidence of clients.
Strong organizational skills.
Fluency in English & French
International Travel Maybe required
