The Group Office provides strategic direction and support to the four clusters, assisting them in realising their strategies and meeting their business objectives. The Group Office is responsible for governance and for the Group's centralised functions, which include Finance, Actuarial and Risk Management, Strategy, Human Resources, Market Development and Brand Sustainability.

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Business Analyst

to join the Enablement team supporting the Group Legal, Compliance and Financial Crime (GLCF) functions of the Sanlam Limited Insurance Group. This role is instrumental in streamlining operations, enhancing system efficiencies, and enabling strategic initiatives across the Group.



You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to drive operational excellence, support compliance and legal platforms, and act as a bridge between business and technology teams.


Key Responsibilities

GLCF Enablement and Operational Support

+ Assist in developing or improving guidelines, processes, and systems for GLCF operations across Group Office and Clusters.
+ Coordinate cross functional projects or team activities.
+ Innovate and drive operational efficiencies to increase productivity.
+ Conduct impact analysis for new systems or changes to existing systems.
+ Develop feasibility studies, business cases, risk assessments, and business or functional requirements.

Assist with Technology Implementation and Systems Administration

+ Provide system administration and support for GLCF-appointed platforms.
+ Liaise with Sanlam Group Technology (SGT) to identify, implement, and optimise applications and tools.
+ Support training, integration, testing, and deployment of GLCF-related technology and continuous improvement initiatives.

Project and Change Management

+ Support improvement initiatives - document and understand business requirements, manage project documentation and delivery timelines.
+ Facilitate change requests, CAB documentation, and stakeholder coordination and communications.
Key Responsibilities Continues

Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination

+ As needed, build relationships and work with other Group office functions such as Internal Audit, Risk Management, Finance, Legal, HC, SGT and cluster teams.
+ Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes.
+ Oversee task allocation and follow-up on deliverables.

Testing and Documentation

+ Create and manage test plans, functional test scripts, and coordinate testing efforts.
+ Maintain continuity plans and readiness for go-live activities.
What Will Make You Successful in This Role
Strong analytical and documentation skills. Experience in business analysis within compliance, governance, or risk domains. Familiarity with Microsoft Office collaboration tools, Project tools and related platforms. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field. Certification in Business Analysis or Project Management (e.g. CBAP, PMP). Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis. Consulting experience would be advantageous. Experience in legal, compliance, or financial crime functions is advantageous
