Job Summary Minimum Requirements BSc/ BEng / BTech/ (Mechanical Engineering) longer than 5 years Professional Registration with ECSA, or similar Bulk Materials Handling Certificate / Course will be an advantage Proven Mechanical Engineering working experience in Bulk Materials Handling Systems and the design of conveyor systems Proven consulting, design, and execution experience from FEED to commissioning, including EPCM working experience in Bulk Materials Handling Systems Minimum 10 years Mechanical Engineering experience Minimum 5 years of EPC/EPCM experience Proven experience in delivering projects in an EPC/EPCM environment Sound knowledge and understanding of Bulk Materials Handling Systems Proficient in English with good grammar and diction. The ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. The ability to write reports. The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, clients, and third-party consultants. Core Purpose Execution of assigned work in accordance with the applicable procedures, standards, and project specifications within cost and project schedule target. Assure the inherent safety and integrity of design, analyses, and technical deliverables through the application of sound engineering & technical principles, data and information management, standards, reviews systems, and controls. Appreciation of the value of teamwork and willingness to work as part of a team, providing support for other team members as and when required. Key Performance Areas Define fit-for-purpose and cost-effective solutions for various equipment such as conveyors, screens, crushers, and mining infrastructure supporting equipment. Review and produce flow sheets for mechanical flow diagrams, verifying the correctness of depicting equipment, mechanical handling, and packaged units, operating and design specifications Compile mechanical datasheets and requisition mechanical handling and packaged units Prepare requisition index for mechanical handling and packaged units, indicating the planned issue date for each requisition Review document requirements and issue dates for major equipment with suppliers and assist Procurement Department in compiling a Suppliers Document Index Review vendor documentation and prepare technical bid analysis and evaluation reports for mechanical handling and packaged units Responsible to ensure that all relevant engineering disciplines reviewed and have provided comments on supplier documents Coordinate reviews of all other engineering aspects of packaged unit suppliers drawings Perform inspections and witness factory acceptance testing where required Monitoring assigned packages for technical compliance, contractual compliance, and QA/QC compliance Provide process support to the other engineering disciplines and construction staff Prepare operating manuals and provide plant support during and after commissioning and start-up Must be able to lead multi-disciplinary projects Co-ordinate, guide, and support jnr engineers and draught persons as part of daily duties Must be able to interact with the industry to source clients, contractors, and suppliers Travel to client facilities for the gathering of field data and project review meetings Travel to client facilities and provide on-site technical assistance
