Job Description
Our client's Roads and Highways Services Delivery Unit provides a comprehensive range of services that include traditional consulting services (design, procurement and contract supervision), Public Private Partnership (PPP) solutions and asset management services. They are currently looking for a Bridge Designer to join their team!
Key Performance Areas
- Design of bridges or similar related structural engineering design.
- Contract administration, including the preparation of Contract Documentation, specifications and schedules of quantities.
- Manage the design process of projects.
- Ensure that project budgets are adhered to.
- Assist in preparation of proposals.
- Assist with report writing as required.
- Feasibility studies as required by Project Managers.
- BSc (Civil Engineering), or BTech (Civil/Structural Engineering)
- Pr Eng or Pr Tech (ECSA) registration (an added advantage)
- 3 years plus experience in Bridge Design
- Knowledge of Finite Element Design Software such as Revit/Sofistik/Prokon/AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of SANRAL processes will be an advantage
- Bridge Draughting experience (advantage)
