Job Description

You'll also support our graduate recruitment initiatives, internal culture and CSR events. As a mentor to our trainees, you'll play a key role in their growth and development.

Communication & Marketing




Client:


You will act as the Brand Associate, managing email marketing and firm updates to clients. Develop a collective communications strategy for the benefit of MGI Bass Gordon; Client database management and development (Mailchimp); Edit and compile monthly newsletters (article content provided); Edit and compile ad hoc Mailchimp mailers to clients including firm news/updates; tax updates; special occasions such as year-end messages or blog posts; specialist articles; webinar invites; Strategising ideas with the Partners for value-adds to clients - including informative webinars; specialist articles and expert contributors; Work closely with external copywriter to curate content for various social media platforms; Assist with organising client events and creating and distributing relevant marketing material.
Internal:


Designing and writing various internal mailers in relation to various firm initiatives and events; Order all promotional stationery and items; Organise quarterly firm-wide coffee catch up calls; Assist with organising and running CSR events and initiatives.
Xero:


Create and update client Xero marketing material Manage and submit Xero Award entries Arrange Back to Xero training sessions

Corporate Identity and Brand Image




You will act as the primary MGI brand ambassador to ensure that the corporate image of the firm and the brand is maintained in all aspects with a unified look and feel - creative direction to be shared.


Maintain and update a MGI brand library of usable templates for staff for internal purposes; Review and ensure external Client Proposals template is in accordance with brand image and firm templates (MS PPT); Create and update firm presentations in MS PPT in accordance with brand image and firm templates; Ensure the website is maintained and up to date - especially the News Section to be updated monthly; Act as first point of contact and maintain relationship with external digital, design and web development agency; Oversee and manage ad hoc company initiatives such as staff corporate photoshoot; Take initiative to suggest updates to firm stationery including email signatures; electronic business cards; staff profiles; Act as first point of contact with MGI Worldwide from a marketing perspective.

Social Media




You will manage the Social Media platforms of the firm and oversee posts in respect of:


Create digital assets - videos and static posts Instagram - student and trainee target market Facebook - student and trainee target market LinkedIn - client, alumni and professional target market Vimeo - upload recordings of virtual events and website uploads Take initiative to collaborate with current staff/trainees and/or students for updated and relevant content Create posts in accordance with firm guidelines

Graduate Talent Management




You will assist the talent team with accounting students applying for the CA(SA) training programme, ensuring that MGI attracts the best talent for the Training Office on an ongoing basis.


Assist the talent team with various aspects of the graduate recruitment process, including virtual and in-person first-round interviews and maintaining strong relationships with university stakeholders. Support the development, execution, and implementation of graduate recruitment initiatives in collaboration with the Audit Partner and talent team. This includes assisting with events such as in-office and virtual engagements, vacation programmes, student forums, open days, career fairs, and trainee induction programmes. Provide input where required on marketing spend and budget allocation Help ensure the firm's professional and corporate image is upheld in all student- and recruitment-related activities.

Personal and Professional Development of trainees




Act as personal mentor and friend to first year trainees: be available for informal check-in sessions with a focus on personal development within a professional environment; Act as objective intermediate between trainees and Audit Management/Partners; Use own discretion to evaluate importance of trainee feedback and necessity of partner involvement; Take initiative to create surveys/evaluation forms for feedback

Requirements:





Computer literate, good interpersonal skills, creative;

Marketing/ PR/Communications Degree;

1- 2 years social media marketing experience.
