We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial transactions and support general administrative operations. The ideal candidate, 45-55 year old lady, will have experience in managing debtors, creditors, cash books, and VAT submissions, along with strong organizational skills to handle administrative duties efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records including processing of debtors and creditors.
Perform cash book entries and monthly bank reconciliations.
Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with SARS regulations.
Manage invoices, payments, and monitor outstanding accounts.
Provide general administrative support, such as filing, correspondence, and document management.
Liaise with external stakeholders, including accountants and auditors, when necessary.
Assist with basic payroll tasks (if applicable).
Requirements:
Own transport essential
Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar financial role.
Advanced excel skills
Strong knowledge of K8 (kerridge), Pastel, Xero, Sage, or similar accounting software.
Solid understanding of South African VAT and accounting practices.
High attention to detail and strong time management skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
