Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant

Job Description
Our client, specialising in accounting, taxation, secretarial and administration services is urgently looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team.
***Hybrid model xe2x80x93 offices based in Sandton***
In order to be considered the following is required:
- Xero
- Pastel partner
- Bookkeeping diploma or degree will be beneficial
- Client facing
- Proven bookkeeping experience up to Trial Balance
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Solid understanding of VAT (Vatable/non-vatable supplies, calculating VAT, Processing, and capturing transactions involving VAT)
- Reconciling Bank Statements, Customers and Suppliers for various clients
- Adapting quickly between the nature of business of each client and the way each client is processed
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- SAP (not necessary but an advantage)
- Proficiency in MS Office
- SARS submissions (not necessary but an advantage)
