Job Description
Bookkeeper Extraordinaire Wanted! Are you a numbers wizard with a knack for balancing to perfection? Join a proudly South African transport and manufacturing conglomerate in the heart of Cape Town's southern suburbs, where your skills will keep the business running smoothly!
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain financial records up to balance sheet
- General ledger maintenance
- Account receivables and payable processing and reconciliations
- Bank and payment preparation and reconciliations
- Process monthly journals and adjustments
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Assist with month-end and year-end processes, journals and reconciliations
- Manage inventory control systems and processes
- Quotations, orders, and invoices
- Completed Matric (Grade 12)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance
- 5+ years' experience in an accounting position essential
- Sage or Pastel Evolution knowledge preferred
- Proficient in MS packages
- Deadline driven
- Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
- Team player
