Join our Sales Operations business as a Billing Analyst, where you will be responsible for ensuring all customer billing and credit notes are processed accurately and on time. You will deliver an exceptional, customer focused service to key customers and business partners by resolving all billing and credit related queries efficiently.




This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of three days per week on-site.




The successful candidate will have experience in an Order Operations environment and demonstrate strong capabilities in order compliance, subscription billing, credit notes, debit order management, query handling, request validation, problem-solving, root cause analysis, data analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure accurate and timely customer billing and credit note processing.


- Ensure all customer billing, intercompany invoicing, and crediting requirements are completed and delivered successfully.


- Operate in line with Sage's internal compliance guidelines, including internal and external audit policies.


- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory compliance requirements.


- Initiate, implement, and manage improvement projects aimed at increasing efficiency and productivity.

Your first 90 days at Sage will provide an excellent opportunity to learn about the business and gain exposure to the Order Operations ecosystem, with a strong focus on billing and invoicing, while developing a deep understanding of key business, customer, and partner billing pain points.




You will work closely with your manager and team to complete the Sage onboarding programme, become familiar with all relevant systems, processes, and SLAs, and build strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders. A focused, self-motivated approach will be essential to your success.

- You will collaborate closely with multiple departments and key stakeholders, including Sales, Renewals, Retentions, and Finance Operations.


- You will report directly to the Billing Manager, who has a proven track record of growth within the business, and you will join a team of five experienced Billing Analysts who will support you throughout your journey in the role.

- Finance Related tertiary qualification


- Advanced MS Excel Skills


- Minimum of 5 years' billing experience, preferably within a technology environment


- Strong understanding of the end-to-end billing process in a service-oriented environment


- Experience with CRM systems and ERP platforms


- Excellent time management and planning skills, strong problem-solving ability with practical examples, and demonstrated critical thinking


- Professional email etiquette, strong customer communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office


- A self-starter who takes initiative and is disciplined, punctual, deadline-driven, and able to perform well under pressure
