Job Description

The Senior Billing Analyst will play a key role within the core financial operations team, providing expert support to both ongoing business activities and global acquisitions. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of billing across specific MRI Software verticals and will collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, and Sales departments to coordinate the billing of new deals, client renewals, and ad hoc additions to client portfolios. The successful candidate will ensure timely, accurate billing to support the monthly close and financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Process all billing activities related to assigned MRI Software business verticals.
• Develop a strong understanding of the end-to-end revenue impact of billing and credits, including deferred revenue implications.
• Identify, track, and proactively resolve potential billing issues.
• Collaborate with the Legal department to interpret contracts and order documents related to fee schedules and client billing.
• Partner with the Sales department to accommodate client requests and ensure accurate billing.
• Research and resolve client disputes, escalating complex issues to appropriate internal stakeholders.
• Maintain and manage client information within the billing system to ensure accurate and timely invoice delivery.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and accuracy.
• Participate in departmental projects and cross-training initiatives as assigned by management.
• When required, build, lead, and mentor a billing team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements
Knowledge and Skills

• Minimum of 5 up to 10 or more years of progressive billing experience, preferably in a global or complex business environment.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of MS Word.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
• Demonstrated initiative, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Consistent reliability and commitment to meeting deadlines and performance goals.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Background in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of billing systems, financial processes, and the ability to resolve discrepancies effectively.
