VACANCY: PRODUCTION MANAGER - Soft Fruit, Western Cape
We are seeking a dynamic Production Farm Manager to lead our team and ensure our citrus operations thrive from root to rind.
From managing day-to-day farm operations to optimizing yields and leading seasonal teams, you'll ensure our citrus crops flourish with quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic planning and field establishment Determine, implement and manage grow programs Monitor crop health and implement sustainable farming practices Ensure compliance to standards Lead and train farm staff, ensuring safety and productivity Ensure staff meet deadlines within budget Provide headcount harvest plan Develop Harvest plan budget Ensure Harvesting is to spec and reduce wastage Provide accurate seasonal estimations Compile budget and establish annual husbandry plan Establish labour outcomes and performance in line with Husbandry Plan Oversee Logistics department to meet export standards
Candidate Requirements
Relevant Agricultural Qualification Minimum of 3-5 years growing soft fruit/production experience Good literacy, numeracy, computer skills, excellent report writing skills Driving licence with own transport Excellent communication skills and team leadership abilities
