Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic, professional, and customer-focused

Bartender

to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate has excellent product knowledge, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences. Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service to all guests at the bar and in the restaurant. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times. Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws and responsible service of alcohol guidelines. Manage cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently through the POS system. Assist with stock rotation, inventory counts, and ordering of bar supplies. Engage with customers to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience. Support restaurant service by preparing drink orders for waitstaff promptly. Follow all opening and closing procedures for the bar area.

Requirements

Proven experience as a bartender in a busy restaurant or bar (minimum 1-2 years preferred). Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Fluent in Afrikaans and English. Reliable transport and availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
