Our client is looking for a skilled and passionate Barman to join their newly opened Japanese restaurant, part of a renowned luxury estate in Stellenbosch. This is a high-end hospitality role requiring precision, personality, and a strong customer service ethic.
Description
As the Barman, you will be the curator of the bar experience, crafting classic and bespoke cocktails, engaging with guests, and maintaining the bar's premium standard.
The ideal candidate will be confident, creative, and well-versed in the art of mixology, with a flair for service excellence and the ability to make guests feel welcome and special.
You will also be responsible for managing bar inventory, keeping the bar area immaculate, and ensuring that all beverage standards and hygiene protocols are consistently met. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Barman who enjoys a sophisticated working environment with opportunities to shine.
Salary: Market-related.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Barman in a luxury or fine dining environment
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverage service
- Excellent customer interaction and communication skills
- Neat, professional appearance and high attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours and commute to Stellenbosch
- Passion for creating memorable guest experiences
- Team player with a positive attitude and sense of accountability
