Job Overview

As a Barista at Wiesenhof Coffee Shop, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages. You will be responsible for preparing coffee and other drinks to Wiesenhof standards, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and contributing to the smooth operation of the coffee shop.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee, specialty drinks, and teas, according to Wiesenhof recipes and quality standards. Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service. Take accurate customer orders, process payments, and handle cash or POS transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, and seating areas in line with health and safety standards. Restock and replenish supplies, including coffee beans, milk, pastries, and other items. Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and effectively. Assist in training new team members when required. Promote Wiesenhof's brand by recommending menu items and upselling where appropriate. Handle customer complaints or queries professionally, escalating issues to the supervisor or manager when needed. Support the overall team by performing additional tasks, such as assisting with stock deliveries and shop closing/opening duties.

Skills and Competencies

Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic knowledge of coffee preparation methods and passion for the coffee industry. Team player with a positive, proactive attitude. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities. Good numeracy skills for handling transactions.

Requirements

Previous experience as a barista or in a hospitality/retail environment is advantageous (training will be provided). Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays. Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene practices. Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused personality. Must

Must live close to the coffee shop area

Pay: From R28,79 per hour
