Job Summary

North Beach Lifestyle Restaurant is looking for a skilled and passionate

Barista

to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate should have experience in crafting high-quality coffee and beverages, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages (espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc.) and specialty drinks. Create and serve iced and blended drinks, including slushes, mocktails, and flavoured teas. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Operate and maintain coffee machines and other beverage equipment. Follow recipes and presentation specifications for all drinks. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the barista station and front counter. Stock and replenish coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies as needed. Handle cash, operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, and process payments. Educate customers on different coffee blends, brewing methods, and menu offerings. Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.

Requirements

Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role. Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanour. Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and peak hours. Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

Barista certification or formal training in coffee making. Experience in making specialty drinks (mocktails, slushes, smoothies, etc.). Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
