We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista Cashier

to join our cafe team. This role combines customer service, food and beverage preparation, and cashier responsibilities to create a welcoming environment for our guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service /Barista, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Prior coffee or cafe experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in retail math, POS systems, and food safety standards within a dynamic cafe setting.

Duties

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items following established recipes and standards Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit Manage cash register operations including cash handling, credit card transactions, and balancing registers at shift end Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including food prep stations and seating areas Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales

Skills

Proven experience with POS systems Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests Previous barista or coffee industry experience preferred Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales transactions and cash handling Basic math skills for cash register operations, giving correct change, and balancing registers Effective communication skills to work seamlessly within a team and interact with customers Experience in serving or food preparation within a cafe or retail environment is advantageous
