Job Description
This role involves the production and processing of baked goods, primarily bread. The ideal candidate is a skilled and positive professional with experience in the baking industry. You must be a dedicated, detail-oriented, and people-focused baker.
Candidate Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate (matric/Grade 12) required
- Minimum of five years relevant baking experience
- Proficiency in using professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders, and dough sheeters
- HACCP knowledge is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Excellent time-management and planning skills
- Self-motivated and proactive approach
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items for extended periods
- Ability to read and follow recipes accurately
- Willingness to work shifts
- Assist the bakery supervisor with assigned tasks
- Plan production schedules and manage workload effectively
- Weigh and mix ingredients, ferment dough, and bake goods
- Conduct quality inspections and evaluations after baking
- Perform daily stock-taking and communicate necessary information
