Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Engineer with extensive experience in Microsoft Azure cloud platform and a strong background in SQL Server and related database technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing our Azure infrastructure, with a particular focus on database solutions, data pipelines, and ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of our data assets in the cloud.
Skills and Experience
What you'll do:
Azure Infrastructure & Solutions:

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available, and secure solutions on Microsoft Azure, including IaaS, PaaS, and Serverless architectures.
• Implement and manage Azure networking components (VNets, VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, NSGs, Azure Firewall).
• Administer Azure compute resources (VMs, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Services, Azure Functions).
• Configure and monitor Azure security services (Azure Security Center, Azure AD, Key Vault, Azure Policies).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated deployments and infrastructure provisioning.
• Monitor Azure resource utilization, performance, and costs, implementing optimizations where necessary.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Azure services, connectivity, and performance.

SQL & Database Management:

• Design, implement, and manage Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
• Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas for performance and scalability.
• Implement and maintain database high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Always On Availability Groups, Geo-replication).
• Configure and manage database security, including user permissions, data encryption (TDE), and auditing.
• Perform database backups, restores, and recovery operations.
• Monitor database performance metrics and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Experience with other Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake Storage is highly desirable.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion and transformation into Azure data platforms.
