Advanced-level cloud development and migration leadership
POSITION: Contract: 01 October 2025 31 December 2028
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years relevant experience + international team collaboration
COMMENCEMENT: 01 October 2025
LOCATION: Hybrid: Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office rotation
TEAM: M-Reporting & Analytics
Qualifications/Experience

• At least 5 years relevant experience (Required)
• Experience working in international teams (Required)
• South African citizens/residents preferred; valid work permit holders considered

Essential Skills Requirements Must have experience/understanding:

• Cloud Technologies: AWS Serverless Development, Migration, Architecture
• Terraform, AWS CDK, AWS Cloud Computing, AWS Glue
• GitHub version control and collaboration
• Python programming language
• SQL database management
• Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

Advantageous Skills Requirements

• Basic understanding of German
• Experience with AWS QuickSight
• AWS Athena, AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway
• TypeScript/Angular Front End development

Role Requirements

• Migration of services to AWS for applications and the support thereof
• DevOps: Implement DevOps practices for AWS Glue jobs and workflows, including automation of data workflows and monitoring of ETL processes
• AWS Lambda Development: Program with Python to develop, deploy, and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda
• Security Best Practices: Implement security best practices according to Group standards
• Collaboration: Work closely within a team, including developers, product owners.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for production-related issues
