Autostore Sales Manager

Job Description

We are expanding our AutoStore team and now seeking an additional Sales Manager to sell AutoStore solutions in South Africa. You are a passionate sales manager with a background in automated storage, intralogistics or warehouse handling equipment. You will be responsible for developing the pipeline of sales for our AutoStore solutions and have the commercial skills and experience to help grow a business from start-up to established success.



The Sales Manager's primary objectives are the development and sales of new AutoStore projects, in EMEA with a focus on the South African market. In close cooperation with the local Kardex and AutoStore organization. By using his/her own excellent network and cold calling potential clients, he/she builds up new customer relationships to develop AutoStore opportunities. The Job holder cooperates with the company's existing sales community.



The sales manager is highly customer-oriented and has an excellent know how about the customer's logistics processes and requirements. He/she is able to evaluate potential opportunities, consult the customer accordingly and propose solutions. In close collaboration with logistics consultants, other teammates or independently, the best possible logistics and IT solution for the customer's benefit is developed and proposed. The sales manager is experienced in negotiations and has an excellent ability to close deals.



The sales manager is highly motivated to work in a startup environment and is open for a wide range of tasks at different locations in South Africa. Travel to Europe will also be required from time to time.

Your tasks



Business development towards AutoStore solutions and creating opportunities Identification and development of opportunities for AutoStore projects in general Sales of AutoStore solutions, lead the sales phase from acquisition until contract
meaning: Sales project development including design, simulation, layout, budget/fixed offer, contract negotiation, closing the deal
Creation of optimal solutions that deliver customer benefit Constant customer communication, maintaining a strong client relationship

KPI's:

AutoStore project bookings Booking profit (margin of sold projects in line with budget / business plan) Successful sales and funnel development

Your profile



Business administration or technical degree in engineering Excellent in English, other languages are an advantage 5+ years' experience with sales and consulting in Intralogistics Proven portfolio of sold projects Experience with sales, project and team management Detailed understanding of logistics and IT processes Motivation to be a key member in setting up a new business (startup environment) Entrepreneurial thinking and acting Self-driven, results oriented with positive outlook to success Advanced trouble-shooting skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Clear focus on high quality and ensuring all the customers' needs are met Ability to establish effective working relationships across boundaries
