Automation Group Leader (shifts), East London

Job Description
We are seeking a Shift Automation Group Leader for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape.
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
- N6 Technical qualification essential and T3/S4 B. Tech preferrable
- 5+ yearsxe2x80x99 experience in electronic / instrumentation field within automotive environment
- Extensive working knowledge of PLC programming xe2x80x93 Siemens S5/S7, Festo & Omron
- Robotic experience of Kuka; ABB
- Fault finding and press machinery repair and maintenance
- Knowledge of manufacturing processing and quality system / fault finding and press maintenance
- Must be prepared to work shifts (rotating 3 shift system: morning, afternoon, night)
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration and coordinating functions within the Automation department.
- Responsible for all Instrumentation Technicians & all maintenance and preventative maintenance.
- Monitor and analyze downtime and put corrective action in place.
- To support subordinates in break downs.
- Plan and see that projects stay on target.
- Repair and maintain press/assembly machinery to ensure customer and quality standards are met
- Fault finding and preventative maintenance as per schedule / according to job cards
- Compile feedback on time sheets to ensure accurate repair data
- Ensure that company procedures, works instructions and quality systems are adhered to
- Participate actively in the departmental M2S as per company requirement.
