Job Description


To contribute towards business success by applying coding and automation construction techniques to build automation artefacts according to a solution design, test components and create an integrated automation solution as part of a team of developers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execution of coding and programming activities in order to create sustainable, reusable automation artefacts.
  • Interpret the solution design and define process and object design instructions;
  • Use development techniques and programming language to build the required objects.
  • Complete non-complex SDD's and PDD's.
  • Execution of positive and negative tests on automated processes in order to ensure that the automation will be able to deliver sustained results within a robust business environment.
  • Conduct testing.
  • Conduct peer coding reviews.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing.
  • Document test results and obtain sign off.
  • Creation of user guides and related manuals and the facilitation of approval and sign off of these manuals.
  • Create and publish the manuals and related documents.
  • Present the documents and make modifications as required.
  • Provisioning of a support service to deal with future maintenance and operational issues that could occur during the automation life cycle.
  • Conduct problem solving and advise on corrective action.
  • Provide standby support to the RPA Operations Team.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
  • Diploma
Preferred Qualification

NQF Level 6 Qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology

Minimum Experience Level
  • 2 years on the job Blue Prism development experience ;
  • Competent software developer with experience on different languages (java, C#, C++, SQL);
  • Scripting language experience; Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines;
  • Infrastructure as code experience;
  • Experience testing product functionality;
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing
