Position: Audit Senior

Type: Full Time

Location: Work from home (South Africa)

Salary: Market related

You must have:

  • Fully qualified would be essential, with experience in International Standards of Auditing (ISAs UK) and UK GAAP ideal
  • Be set up, to work from home and have a solution to load-shedding.
  • Experience in preparing accounts in accordance with UKGAAP (FRS102), and conducting audits in accordance with International Standards of Auditing (ISAs UK)
  • Experience in using Thomson Reuters Digita Accounts Production Advanced, CCH Audit Automation and Digita Corporation Tax (ideal but not essential).

Our client a UK based Auditing Firm, specialises in statutory audits, accountancy and tax services, payroll, wealth management, management buyouts, business plans, acquisitions and mergers.

Overview:

An excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual looking to join a highly reputable chartered accountancy practice. The role will offer incredible exposure and fantastic progression prospects. Joining as an Audit Senior, you will be responsible for managing, controlling, and conducting the audit fieldwork for a diverse range of clients, developing strong relationships with those clients, along with the potential for involvement in advisory projects working alongside our managers and directors. Clients are varied across a wide spectrum of industries. Your role will also include preparation of financial statements for non-audit clients, preparing accounts, and other responsibilities.

You will be responsible for:
  • Preparation of statutory accounts including consolidations and cash flow statements.
  • Leading the audits of owner managed businesses.
  • Reviewing and completing audit and accounts files.
  • Supervising and training junior members of staff.
  • Preparing corporation tax computations.
  • Corresponding with clients and authorities.
  • Involvement on ad-hoc and special assignments.
  • Contribute to the ongoing review and improvement of internal processes and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Fully qualified would be essential, with experience in International Standards of Auditing (ISAs UK) and UK GAAP ideal.
  • Solid experience working in a small, medium or large, independent accounting firm environment.
  • Great organisation and problem-solving skills with a genuine interest and willingness to make a positive contribution.
  • Positive use of initiative.
  • Wide range of communication skills, across all platforms.
  • Confident in working with clients at all levels and experience in building strong client relationships.
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Keen to be part of a dynamic team with a strong desire to coach and develop team members.
  • Keen to learn and keep up to date in a fast-moving industry.
  • Be fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking)
  • Working hours based on UK time zone.
