A family is looking for an AU PAIR for their son (Occasional assistance may be needed for their 4 year old daughter)

Area:

Constantia

Children's Ages:

6 year old - Boy(epileptic - now fairly well-controlled) & 4 year old - Girl (Main focus will be on the 6 year old)

Working hours:

Same as above / Slightly Flexible (Fun activities will be done over the school holidays / additional tutoring if needed)

Duties:

Background on 6 year old, due to his condition he found a mainstream, big school a bit challenging and overwhelming. He currently attends a small school with mixed ages, but he needs tutoring to bring him up to speed to a Grade R level (he is behind due being unwell). And we will likely need this to continue into next year too with Grade 1 tutoring. The role would include a mix of Au Pairing and Tutoring duties including dropping him at school, overseeing his day and ensuring he is grasping all concepts, engaging in educational activities, bringing him up to speed and tutoring him to ensure he is at a Grade R level, playing games and doing fun activities in free time, preparing light snacks and meals and driving him home from school each day.

Special Requirements:

Someone with tutoring experience, patience and understanding. Possibility of the role extending into a full day position (if the candidate has availability and the salary will be adjusted accordingly)

Start Date and contract term:

ASAP - permanent

Salary:

R11 000 - R11 500pm (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.76)



All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.

Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.

Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.

Must have a clear criminal record

Must have a passion for children

Must have Matric

Must have a South African ID document.
