A family is looking for an AU PAIR for their daughter aged 5 years old going into Grade R in 2022

son aged 8 years old (ADHD diagnosis) and daughter aged 4 years old

Duties:

Childcare & Supervision. Provide compassionate, attentive care, with a focus on the boy's ADHD-related needs. Maintain a structured, supportive daily routine to foster calm, focus, and emotional well-being. Plan engaging, age-appropriate, and therapeutic activities for both children. Educational Support: Assist with homework and school projects, using ADHD-friendly learning methods (e.g., clear step-by-step tasks, visual aids, and regular breaks). Provide tutoring and encourage positive learning habits. Household Duties: Grocery shopping and light errands. Help manage household routines and children's schedules. Light admin tasks related to the children. Drive to and from school, as well as other after-school activities and appointments.

Requirements:

Female, aged 19-26 years old. Fluent in Afrikaans & English. Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle. Non-smoker. Experience working with children with ADHD. Patient, calm, and skilled in creating a structured environment. Passionate about working with children and supporting their development. Prior au pair, homeschool or Tutoring experience. Basic first aid certification. Willing to commit long-term.

Start date:

ASAP start - permanent contract

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.

Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.

Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.

Must have a clear criminal record

Must have a passion for children

Must have Matric

Must have a South African ID document.
