We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of neurodiversity who enjoys being both active and creative. This person will support two siblings: a bright, imaginative 17-year-old girl with ADHD who loves creating TikTok videos, editing content, and playing Roblox, and her curious 13-year-old autistic brother (PDAer) with a strong interest in music, problem-solving experiments, exploring how things work, and playing both soccer and basketball.
The ideal candidate will bring patience, a light-hearted sense of humour, and strong tutoring skills in maths, while being able to connect through creativity, and shared interests.
Main Purpose of the Job
To be a "helping hand" for the siblings' unique and specific support needs, providing guidance and encouragement so they can thrive. A passion for neurodiversity, and the ability to be a consistent, secure, and long-term source of support, is essential.
Job Objectives
Become a core member of the multi-disciplinary team, supporting each sibling's individual needs when required.
Provide companionship and emotional support at home.
Support and scaffold their regulation needs, lessening uncertainty and anxiety.
Transport them to appointments, school drop-off and collection.
Plan and carry out outings during school holidays, as well as prepare meals and snacks.
Assist with executive functioning needs, e.g., building consistent routines.
Plan fun, creative, and active outdoor activities to enjoy together.

Support and training from the Facilitation Academy over a 4-6 week period this includes: access to online training, individual support/training sessions, and access to plenty resources.
Working Hours & Compensation
Monday - Friday:
08:00 - 09:00
- School drop-off (Pinelands)
12:30 - 13:30
- School pick-up (Pinelands) and drop-off at home (Century City)
Tuesdays & Wednesdays:
After school drop, remain at the Century City home until 17:00
Salary:
R7,000 - R8,000 per month + fuel (AA rates).
Occasional weekend support may be requested (additional compensation provided)
Opportunity for extra hours during school holidays and weekends to enrich the children and build therapeutic skills.
