ASSOCIATE RESEARCHER: HEALTH POLICY 8months FIXED TERM CONTRACT- PRETORIA
KPAs
The purpose of this role is to conduct research for to enable achievement of strategic objectives through the following activities:
xc3xbc Health Policy Research, Product development:
- Generating ideas for new products and researching feasibility
- Review and analysis of scientific literature to inform product development
- Compile product offerings and review as and when required to ensure that the products respond to health needs, and improve outcomes
- Monitor and evaluate utilisation of products
- Keeping of minutes and action lists
- Committee Administrator
xc3xbc Support the scheme surveillance activities: Develop TOR for surveys, review questionnaire
xc3xbc Draft research papers, reports, reviews and summaries
xc3xbc Adhoc research and keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments
Requirements:
xc3xbc Degree in Health/ Social Sciences similar
xc3xbc Postgrad Diploma or Masters in public health, epidemiology or similar would be advantageous
xc3xbc Minimum of 0-2 years relevant work experience in a (typical graduate/ entry level)
xc3xbc Understanding of research methods
xc3xbc Understanding of medical scheme industry
xc3xbc A logical and investigative mind
xc3xbc Problem-solving, analytical and technical skills
xc3xbc A methodical approach to work
xc3xbc Team player with ability to work independently
xc3xbc Good written and oral communication skills
xc3xbc The ability to communicate effectively with staff in non-scientific positions
xc3xbc Computer literate with experience with MS Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint,
xc3xbc Have a diligent work ethic with attention to detail
xc3xbc Self-motivated and pro-active
xc3xbc Have Strong negotiation skills
xc3xbc Ability give advice and engage with various stakeholders
Desirable
xc3xbc Have an understanding of medical schemes industry
