Job Summary As an Assistant warehouse manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Oversee daily warehouse and distribution functions, ensuring timely and accurate order processing and returns.
Coordinate logistics planning, manage fleet operations, and schedule deliveries to meet service standards.
Improve stock control processes including receiving, labeling, bin allocation, and conducting daily stock counts.
Enforce compliance with company procedures and health & safety regulations (OHASA).
Lead, mentor, and support warehouse staff to achieve productivity and quality goals.
Report regularly on operational metrics, stock levels, and warehouse queries.
Resolve delivery issues, customer claims, and problem parcels efficiently.
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment.
What Do You Need?:
National Diploma or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration (advantageous).
3-5 years' experience in warehouse or distribution management.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
In-depth understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/stock management systems.
