The Assistant Systems Accountant will support the wider Finance team with operating our Odoo ERP financial system. The role is focused on ensuring our finance system is accurate, in addition to enabling efficient and timely reporting. A keen interest in leveraging technology to drive continuous improvement in financial systems and monthly accounting processes is a key requirement.
Roles and Responsibilities
xc2xb7 Provide monthly systems driven P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow reports
xc2xb7 Consolidate monthly personnel expense reports
xc2xb7 Support financial control with weekly accounts receivable and payables reporting
xc2xb7 Ownership of key month end processes including foreign exchange revaluation
xc2xb7 Leading on finance system administration including new partner creation and maintaining exchange rates
xc2xb7 Writing and updating key desktop process notes
xc2xb7 Providing technical support and training to finance teams
xc2xb7 Support with new implementation and testing process
xc2xb7 Generate ad hoc reports from the system in support of business decision making
Requirements:
Competencies
xc2xb7 Strong experience with financial systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle. Odoo a plus)
xc2xb7 Part qualified or in the process of completing as accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
xc2xb7 Highly organised and able to meet deadlines consistently
xc2xb7 Good understanding of financial process and IFRS accounting principles
xc2xb7 Good problem solving and investigation skills
xc2xb7 Good communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes in simple terms

Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field. ACCA / CIMA / CPA qualification a plus.

Minimum 1 years of experience in accounting and finance with a focus on financial systems.
