Job Title: Assistant Restaurant Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards, resolving complaints promptly and professionally.
- Greet and interact with customers, responding to their needs and preferences.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of servers, bartenders, and hosts/hostesses.
- Ensure efficient table management, minimizing wait times and optimizing seating capacity.
- Maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness, and hygiene throughout the restaurant.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Supervise, train, and develop floor staff to ensure excellent service standards.
- Provide feedback, coaching, and discipline as necessary.
- Drive sales growth through effective upselling, suggestive selling, and promotional activities.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure cohesive operations.
Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a restaurant floor management role.
- Conference, restaurant, events, and banqueting experience is a MUST.
- Lodge operations experience.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities.
- Matric or equivalent required.
- Hospitality management certification or degree preferred.
Shared accommodation will be provided.
