Job Summary Hospitality and Outdoor - New Vacancy - Assistant Restaurant Manager Luxury Hotel - Cape Town Our client, a luxury hotel, is looking for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery at their Cafe Grill Restaurant. Requirements o Matric o Diploma/degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or Restaurant Management beneficial o Certifications in Food Safety or Wine Knowledge is advantageous o 3 - 5 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a fine dining or luxury hospitality setting. o Strong ability to supervise and motivate staff, ensuring they adhere to service standards. o Experience in staff training, coaching, and performance management. o Commitment to delivering world-class dining experiences and addressing guest needs promptly. o Proficiency in handling guest feedback and implementing improvements o Knowledge of restaurant operations, including reservations, seating plans, and service workflows. o Familiarity with POS systems and operational reporting tools. o Understanding menu offerings, food presentation, and beverage pairings. o Ability to make recommendations to guests and assist with menu planning. o Basic knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and inventory management. o Ability to monitor revenue trends and suggest strategies for improvement. o Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with staff, management, and guests. o Ability to convey instructions clearly and prepare basic reports. o Meticulous in ensuring every aspect of the guest experience meets 5-star standards. o Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. o A genuine enthusiasm for creating exceptional guest experiences. o Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and management. o Experience in luxury dining or hotel chains. o Knowledge of South African cuisine, wines, and dining trends. o Familiarity with luxury service standards Package o Salary: R 18 000 pm DOE plus benefits o Live out Start date: ASAP
