Assistant Project Manager (Agricultural) - Kempton Park - R30,000-R32,000 CTC
Requirements:
  • Matric Certificate
  • Project Management Qualification or experience
  • Valid driverxe2x80x99s license.
  • Advanced Word, Excel or MS Project
  • Afrikaans & English

The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for the project office functions such as, preparing comprehensive action plans, resources requirements, timeframes and action plans for projects. This also includes coordinating tasks, like scheduling and risk management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation procurement, expediting and handling financial queries. The position requires an ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment, communicate information clearly, and keep a constant focus on the work with a sense on importance and urgency.
This function includes but is not limited to:
  • All project management activities, resources, equipment and information.
  • Liaise with clients, services manager and internal sales teams to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives of projects.
  • Assign tasks to internal teams and coordinate schedule management.
  • Analyse risks and communicate these with relevant parties and ensure proper mitigating actions are implemented.
  • Plan and execute project procurement requirements and deliveries.
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
  • Measure and report to all stake holders on project performance.
  • Ensure that all budgeting, scheduling and coordination processes run smoothly.
  • Monitor progress of projects to ensure that it is working within the confines of set deadlines and budget limitations and generate progress reports to managers.
  • Attending to any other related tasks on an ad hoc basis.
