Requirements
A relevant B degree in Civil Engineering
A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience,
preferably in structural engineering
Eligible for Professional registration as a Candidate
Engineering Technologist/Engineer with the Engineering
Council of South Africa (ECSA)
Computer Literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office
A valid Code EB Drivers licence
Special Conditions:
Willingness to work after hours, including weekends when
required
Must be on cell phone contact 24/7 Must be fit and able-bodied to do site visits Must be prepared to work in any of the 8 Roads and Stormwater
geographical Districts
Key Performance Areas
Compiles schedules of candidate road structures
maintenance projects
Implements maintenance and rehabilitation projects Assist with development and/or implementation of multiple
high risk, complex projects or minor to medium sized
programmes
Provide support and assist in the collation and implementation
of special programmes
Assist with providing structural input and guidance into
development approvals
Assists with the facilitation of wayleaves and permits to
service authorities and contractors requesting the right to
work on or close to roads infrastructure
Assists with coordinating the Depot's portion of the
District Infrastructure implementation plans
