Requirements
A relevant BEng or BSc degree in the following disciplines:
o Electrical Engineering
o Computer Science
o Data Science
o Geographic Information Systems
No experience required at entry level
Computer literacy in MS Office.
Key Performance Areas
Apply theoretical knowledge and conceptual thinking, working
under mentorship of a professional according to legislative
requirements and accepted processes, procedures and standard
practices in the following aspects:
o Engage in the development of project plans from conception to
completion
o Design infrastructure to standards and norms
o Manage and control the quality assurance materials
o Manage project planning and programming of construction
o Commission plant and equipment
o Communicate professional knowledge to internal and external
clients of the Department
o Attend to correspondence and enquiries with regard to the
services, systems and ongoing work of the Department
o Transact on relevant systems and applies all City of Cape Town,
Energy Directorate, Regulatory Authorities procedures and
policies when performing tasks
o Adhere to protocol, procedures and requirements.
