Job Description

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Perform reception duties.
  • Perform call centre duties.
  • Attend to incoming emails.
  • Provide financial information in person, telephonically and by email.
  • Record, capture and respond to enquiries from students, staff, parents, guardians and sponsors.
  • Document and maintain enquiries regarding financial transactions.
  • Submit supporting documents for scanning.
  • Capture data on PeopleSoft, including bursary letters, payment arrangements, and provisional registration applications.
  • Monitor, review and verify financial agreements uploaded by potential minor first-time entering students.
  • Generate requisitions and follow through to purchase order.
  • Log maintenance requests and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Procure stationery and other consumables/equipment for the division.
  • Book travel and transportation.
  • Organise meeting rooms.
  • Report equipment deficiencies.
  • Generate invoices on the billing system.
  • Adhere to POPIA by securing and protecting personal, confidential and sensitive information.
  • Perform general filing.
  • Generate study fee quotations and handle quotation enquiries.
  • Generate and email tuition fee statements.
  • Keep minutes of staff meetings.
  • Summarise telephone reports for Student Finance.
  • Call students as per request.
Inherent requirements:
  • Grade 12 or national vocational certificate on NQF Level 4 with Mathematics and/or Accounting as subject/s.
Recommendations:
  • One (1) year's relevant working experience relating to the duties and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
  • Knowledge of general accounting.
  • Knowledge of calculations and mathematics to solve mathematical equations.
  • Knowledge of applications and programs to conduct work (MS Office and PeopleSoft)
  • Knowledge of business - understanding the functional area and how it impacts.
  • Thoroughly understanding operations such as managing files and records.
  • Knowledge of problem solving to develop/evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Knowledge of communication to convey/receive messages (verbal/written).
  • Ability to identify, measure, analyse, interpret and communicate information.

Salary:
The annual remuneration package, including benefits is R 231 699,90 -R 388 426,59 per annum, depending on the budget available for the position, relevant work experience and qualifications.
