Assistant Maintenance Coordinator- Fire Doors & Compartmentation

Remote- Western Cape, South Africa (within travelling distance to Stellenbosch)
Role Overview:
Join our growing Property Management and Maintenance Company to support UK operations. You'll manage maintenance works across our properties, focusing on fire doors and compartmentation, scheduling contractors, preparing quotes, raising invoices and ensuring compliance. No two days are the same, strong organisation, problem-solving and teamwork is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule maintenance works efficiently using coordination software
Prepare, submit and follow up on quotes to secure client approval
Coordinate contractors and arrange property access
Monitor job progress and update completion reports and certification
Raise invoices and ensure compliance documentation is accurate
Support business development and client retention
Manage fire door and compartmentation projects from survey to certification
Skills & Experience:
Energetic and hardworking with strong multitasking ability
Contractor coordination essential
Knowledge of Health & Safety and building maintenance legislation is strongly preferred
Professional customer service skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Confident managing fire safety documentation and compliance records
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong Excel skills
Strong Microsoft Outlook skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong administration and attention to detail (ability to stay organised, good tracking skills, methodical)
Knowledge of internal sales processes is essential
Additional Requirements:
Candidates must have a stable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 Mbps download and upload
Candidates must be willing to attend a skill-based assessment should they be successful following the first round of interviews
Benefits:
Competitive salary: R15,000 - R25,000 per month (depending on experience)
Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00 UK time (including a 60-minute lunch break)
15 days annual leave plus South African public holidays
