Kendrick Recruitment are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant General Manager, for a luxury property in Hermanus, WC to join the team and support the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction. This role plays a critical part in achieving the hotel's profitability goals and operational success. Minimum Requirements:

• Post-matric hotel school qualification would be advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a five-star property.
• Proficiency in computer systems such as MICROS and Opera Cloud.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong numeracy skills.
• High level of proficiency in English.
• Motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic individual.
• Ability to work as a team player with a positive attitude.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts.
• Own transport is preferable.

Key Performance Objectives:

• Assist the General Manager in day-to-day operations and decision-making processes.
• Monitor departmental performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend strategies to enhance the hotel's profitability.
• Demonstrate proven leadership abilities and provide guidance, training, and mentorship to all staff and department heads.
• Address guest complaints and facilitate the service recovery process, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
• Participate in the recruitment and selection of hotel staff.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and implement necessary personnel actions, including disciplinary measures and terminations.
• Adhere to company policies, regulations, and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure full compliance with hotel operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Maintain effective and timely communication regarding hotel policies and procedures.
• Undertake any additional duties as assigned by the General Manager or the management team.
