What you'll need:

Requirements:
- A bachelors degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is required.
- Professional certifications such as Professional Accountant (SA), or Chartered Accountant (CA) are advantageous.
- At least 3 years of experience in corporate financial management, accounting, or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and planning. Experience within concurrent commodity /agricultural and supervisory experience will receive preference. Familiarity with financial software systems and ERP systems.
Skills/Competencies:
- Great planning and organising skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Great communication skills.

What you'll be doing:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for realising financial strategy:
- Assist in develop and execute processes to support existing and new strategies to ensure the sustainability of Grainlink.
- Assist in compile, implement and manage financial strategy.
- Continually evaluate relevance of strategy.
- Recommend changes as required.
- Continuous evaluation and simplifying of the Grainlink business model.
- Identify and develop new business processes.
- Investigate and implement opportunities to add value recommend actions and practices to benefit the company.
- Assist with strategising to achieve sustainable profitability.
- Regularly perform a profitability analysis of Grainlink and silos.
- Evaluate business risks and implement control measures.
- Develop and maintain a strict cost management culture.
  • Financial Management:
- Manage strategic financial plan relating to Hinterland inventory.
- Interpret the financial implications of decisions and convey.
- Analytical review and interpretation of management data.
- Continuously monitor balance sheet and initiate actions to optimise and control balance sheet investment.
- Manage financial targets of the division, departments, and branches.
- Laisse with stakeholders / role players outside own department.
- Identify weakness in controls and suggest improved controls.
- Identify deviations to policies & procedures and implement improved control environment.
  • Financial planning, reporting and process optimisation.
  • Employee development and management.
