Job Description
My client, a market leader in the gaming and entertainment industry, based on KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to join their amazing team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage the administration and accounts departments, ensuring that all processes are strictly in compliance with the gaming board and company policies and procedures
- Assist operations management to reduce costs and improve profit by closely analysing & reporting financial data and, in particular, deviations from budget
- Manage the budget formulation process resulting in accurate budgets delivered on time and closely monitored
- Maintain accurate records of company accounts strictly in line with legal and unit office requirements
- Effectively coordinate audits and take prompt corrective action where required
- Ensure statutory reporting requirements are met timeously
- Build a competent and motivated team of staff through confident and caring leadership
- Newly qualified CA(SA)
- 1 year of commercial exposure
